Conversion of the lighthouse Faro del cabo de Sant Antoni - Jávea
The project
Our architecture studio that has already been able to carry out in the past a project for the city of Jávea - the construction management of the new headquarters building of the city of Jávea - has been commissioned again by the city council; in this case with the drafting of the basic project for the conversion of the lighthouse of Cabo de Sant Antoni in Jávea into an interpretation center of the marine reserve and the natural park of Montgó, with the authorization of two buildings for public use units.
The objective is the adaptation of an emblematic building for Jávea, one of the most unique buildings in the municipality, with a traditional Mediterranean style, preserving its characteristic elements and its essence, using modern elements. The project redacted by us foresees accessibility as well as the creation of outdoor recreational spaces with terraces and areas integrated in the existing environment c / Mediterranean vegetation with native plants and natural materials.
The lighthouse is located in a unique environment, with spectacular views of the sea towards Ibiza.
With this reform project, the L’Albir lighthouse model, cultural and informative point of the Marine Reserve is followed and the architectural and naval heritage of the population is valued.
