Our story and what we love about our work

Our architecture and interior design studio HoffmannWehr resulted from the close collaboration between the architect Ulrike Wehr and the economist and interior designer Anja Hoffmann:

Anja Hoffmann, living in Spain with her family since 1994, studied economics at the Trier University of Applied Sciences in Germany, completed a training in interior design (KLC London) and a master in building management (University of Alicante).

From 1994 to 2002 she was manager of a group of real estate development companies Hoffmann International and 2003 she opened her own studio Anja Hoffmann Project Management & Interiors.

Ulrike Wehr studied architecture at the FH Darmstadt and in 2000 she became a member of the Chamber of Architects North Rhine - Westphalia, Germany (AKNW).

In Cologne, she worked as an architect at the architecture office Fischer & Fischer and as a Junior Real Estate Valuation Manager at AXA Investment Managers Deutschland GmbH.

Since 2005 she has been living with her family in Jávea, Spain and working as an architect  and has also been inscribed since that year as a member of the Chamber of Architects of the Region of Valencia COACV.

Why did we start working together?

We realized that we had the same interests and thoughts regarding our work and therefore founded Habitat50plus in 2011: strategies, advice and projects for "The 50 plus Generation".

Immediately we found out that we also complement each other in our architecture and interior design projects: we both have the German way of working and work with passion and responsibility in our projects.

This is how we founded our architecture and interior design studio HoffmannWehr in Jávea, which emerged from the studio Anja Hoffmann Project Management & Interiors.

Since then, we have worked with national and international clients on various projects, both residential and commercial, as well as public projects; refurbishments and new buildings.

We develop single-family houses as new buildings, extensive refurbishments of houses and we are specialized in reforming old houses, while maintaining their original character and giving them a contemporary touch.

For companies, we create interior designs for their business premises such as restaurants, notaries and offices that reflect the personality of the brand, and we carry out comprehensive project management in the projects.

In recent years we have been working with great enthusiasm on public projects, such as the project "Conversion of two buildings of the lighthouse at Cabo San Antonio in Jávea to an interpretation center of the nature reserve of the coast and the Montgó" and the construction management of the interior disassembling of the city administration of Jávea.

What do we love about our work?

We love designing customized projects and working with fully personalized customer service.

We listen to the wishes and goals of our customer: both in terms of his dreams of creating a new home for his family, or a new concept with attractive spaces for his company, to carry out a project within an economic framework, a new concept for the second residence, etc.

Whatever project our customer is planning, we accompany him in all phases with the greatest creativity, experience and professionalism - for his satisfaction, well-being and security until the full project is completed.
