OPTIMAL USE OF SPACE

Architecture and life must evolve at the same pace in order to adapt to new lifestyles and meet the needs requested by each client. This leads architects to have to face all kinds of challenges that arise over time.

In this case we are talking about the optimal use of the reduced space in most homes nowadays. But don't let this stop you! Just because a flat is small doesn't mean it can't be cosy. Our Architecture and Interior Design studio located in Jávea, Costa Blanca can help you with this space problem. Thanks to our multidisciplinary team we are able to offer you an integral service that includes from the development of the idea, the design and selection of the materials; to the processing of all the necessary documentation, execution of the works and decoration of all the spaces.

The use of space makes us think creatively and ingeniously to use the space in the perfect way for each of our clients. Thanks to our great practice and experience with projects of this style, we choose carefully and creatively how to make use of the space to turn it into amazing quality architectural projects. Often small spaces, if they are well decorated, are more pleasant than large ones that end up being colder.

Some of the points that our studio takes into account when it comes to a small space project are color, light, shared spaces and... multifunctional furniture that we love!

Our first tip for making the most of the space in a house is visual unity. Generate a feeling of spaciousness and order by putting the right elements in the right places. For this, the color we use is very important.

The color white and, in general, light tones such as creams, tans, greys or beiges, are essential to bring spaciousness and luminosity to a room.

Lighting is another of the key points which, if used well, can be used to our advantage and make small spaces more pleasant and functional. In addition, lighting is one of the strong points of our studio, as we try to play with light taking into account the personality of our respective client.

The use of natural light is also very important. Placing a window or skylight in the right spot in the room completely changes the feeling of spaciousness it offers (and allows you to play creatively with the interior design).

Another of our tips (and one that we use a lot in our projects) is the use of shared and open spaces. Nowadays it is very fashionable for areas such as the kitchen and the living room to share the same room, although this may not always work out well. The help of professionals in the sector is needed to ensure that combinations of this style are useful and comfortable in our day-to-day lives. If done well, it can create a very important space in which the whole life of the house takes place.

Shared spaces are also important for those people who have to work from home and need a space where they can do it. Do you need a small studio and don't have space at home? We can help you! Maybe that work area is only needed when it is going to be used and when it is not... It is hidden! A fantastic idea, because if we don't want the table to be in sight we can hide it, but we will have it at our disposal in a simple way whenever we need it.

This brings us to the strong point of this blog (or perhaps, less known): multifunctional furniture. In small spaces it is necessary to have foldable, multifunctional furniture that allows mobility in the environment.

Multifunctional furniture are objects designed to adapt to small spaces and be, at the same time, comfortable and useful. In one way or another, they unfold to activate and fold to save space. They are, in turn, designed objects with the ability to adjust in size to provide a practical solution to a need. Multifunctional furniture adapts to all the changes that may arise in our daily lives.

All these tips and many more help us to achieve an optimized space. We want to help you take advantage of all the special opportunities that your home has to offer and not leave "dead spaces".

Hiring a specialist interior design company such as HoffmannWehr can be a great idea, especially if we are looking for the best results. In our studio, we conduct an interview without any obligation on the part of the client to try to capture the idea, the scope of the project and the maximum of relevant details that can be transmitted to us.

We look forward to hearing about your project!
